The Prince has a Princess!
At long last, the Prince has a Princess! Well...Duchess.
So we all know the new Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine has walked down the aisle in the Westminster Abbey in a v-neck Alexander McQueen gown accessorised with some stunning jewellery. Her hair was topped off with a 1936 Cartier Halo tiara and a pair of matching diamond earrings.
The Scroll ("Halo") tiara was a brilliant choice, which suits Catherine's tasteful simplicity of style. It belonged to the young Queen Mother and I believe that it had not been seen in public for a while. The design is simple and feminine and yet is very modern. The scroll picked up the details of the lace beautifully.
According to a Royal source, Kate's earrings were custom made by Robinson Pelham to match her tiara, and were a present from her parents. The earrings, with acorn motifs, was inspired by the new Middleton-family crest. Pelham also designed the more floral earrings worn by the other lady in white-maid of honour Pippa Middleton.
The wedding was executed with such precision and everything went like Big Ben except when William tried to slip on the wedding ring on Catherine's finger. That two seconds seemed like two minutes, and would have been the nightmare of any jeweller. Our hearts skipped a beat.
The outfits and the jewellery was a perfect choice. Well done Catherine! 10 out of 10.
And who can forget the Prince...every girl loves a man in uniform!
