Robert Maiolo, who has styled the locks of celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Kate Moss, Jude Law, Liam Gallagher and Rachael Weisz. As part of the prize package for our Moi Moi Mademoiselle, Robert styled the locks of gorgeous Marijana for the Moi Moi Fine Jewellery photo shoot.

MM: You've styled some of the world's top celebrities, how do you decide hair styles to create for different personalities?

RM: It's important to remember that it's not all about the hair; it's about the overall look. When I am deciding on the hairstyle there are a number of factors I consider including the occasion, the dress and the mood of the persons hair I am styling.

MM: You styled the hair of Marijana, Moi Moi Mademoiselle as part of her prizing. Tell us about the style you chose and why you went for this particular look.
RM: Marijana's hair is super long and beautiful. There was not much that I really needed to do for it. I mainly focused on tidying it up and making it look shiny and luscious.

MM: At the Moi Moi shoot you went for several different looks; tell us about these and why you chose them.
RM: Well Marijana's hair was really easy to work with. So for the shoot I just wanted to have fun with her hair, which is why I combined a mix of tying her hair up and leaving it out for her different looks.
MM: Any thoughts on latest hair trends?
RM: I'm not a really big fan of trends. I'm a big believer of having your own individual hair style, much like fashion. I think you should go with the flow on how you're feeling, if you want to be blonde then be blonde, if you feel like mixing up and going dark, dye your hair black.

MM: What are your top hair care tips?
RM: Everyone wants silky soft hair, so my best tip is to condition your hair EVERY time you wash your hair. The best way to do this is to put a 10 cent drop on your hand and comb your hair with a fine tooth comb while the hair is still wet. This way you will save on products and I shouldn't be saying this but haircuts too!
