Interview with Amanda Cole

Date Added: 12/07/2011
What was the inspiration for the cover of the book?
Paola Daniela Cermak from Pink Pixel had photographed this (she is a gorgeously talented photographer in Austria) and so when I was in concept stage I sent her a quick email that started a discussion about the use of her image. I think it was catchy and of the millions of other images I had played with for the cover, it was the one that jumped out the most and I had to have it !!

How is this book different to the first two books you have written?
"Who needs Prince Charming" is different as it is collaboration of stories titbits and advice, whereas the other two (I hate Cinderella and You are my Future) are stories with a touch of Psychology threaded through them. Also my first two were based on 'dreams' of mine.

Your best advice for finding love?
My best advice would be that you have to know yourself before you can hope to be in a healthy/ loving relationship. Also Don't expect someone else to make you happy, if you are not already happy within your own life.

Best and worst life experiences learnt?
I would say that the best life experience of mine that I hope to pass to my children one day - is to have a free childhood. I was free to love, learn and create my own path and my parents supported my dreams by never putting conditions on what I could achieve.

Worst lesson learnt would be that there are only one of truly important people/pets/family members and loved ones, in this I have learnt that you need to cherish
every minute and be present in the moments with the people you love.

Do you have any advice for other budding writers out there?

Pick up a copy of "the Artists way" it is so inspiring and will push you into writing EVERY day ( they suggest you write 3 pages at least) which is a process but it really does help.

What books have influenced your life the most?
A book that I simply adore that has changed my life in a little way is "Will You Be There?" By Guillaume Musso, it is heartbreaking and magical and stays along side you long after you have closed its pages.

Also the book that changed my life the MOST would have to be Mike Dooley's "Infinite Possibilities". Each page was a revelation in the way we create thoughts and beliefs and attracting the right things into your life.

What is the main message of the book, you would like all readers to grasp?
I believe it would be that anything is possible and you should strive to get to know your path and what makes you happy. One of my friends called it "finding your Bliss" which is pretty cute! Then once you know your path, have fun imagining the things you need to create the life you want. All these gorgeous women have created their lives and it is exciting to read someone else's journey, to see how it all unfolded.

Will there be a fourth book?
Certainly!!! I can't stop writing, I have notebooks filled with characters, love stories, and so much more… I am ¾ through my 4th book and I have also started my 5th book. They are two more fiction books that deal with love, loss and a little make believe. I can't wait to have some spare time to write more!
