More Sparkle, More Fire and More Beauty

Beauty
The beauty of a jewel is determined by its colour, brilliance, "fire" and lustre.

Brilliance
Brilliance is a jewel's ability to return the white light to the viewer. It is created by cutting designs and is measured by its refractive index. Moissanite has an RI of 2.65 - 2.69 which is higher than diamond's RI of 2.4.

Fire
Fire, or dispersion of light - is the breaking of light into the spectrum of colours. It also refers to the rainbow colours that you see in a jewel under lights.
Moissanite has 2.5 times more fire than a diamond.

Lustre
Lustre is the amount of light that is reflected back to the viewer from the surface of the jewel. Moissanite's lustre rating of 20.4% is greater than a diamond's rating of 17.2%.

Durability
The durability of a jewel is determined by its hardness, or resistance to scratching, and its toughness, or resistance to chipping or cleaving. Moissanite is second hardest jewel to diamond and is harder than sapphire and ruby.
